Meet Harry 14605ki

This is Harry. Harry was found in Dogtown, scaling the side of a two-story brick building. He fell and broke his leg. A friend of ours reached out to Heartland and asked if we could help, considering he needed an expensive surgery. Heartland took him in and he had a FHO surgery, where the femoral head is removed. Now, he hardly has a limp, and he is ready to go for adoption! He tolerates other cats, but he will be a little bit hissy. He would also do well as a single cat. I’m not sure about dogs, but he was living outdoors in Dogtown, so my guess would be that he’s probably a little bit scared of them. He is super cuddly, and is a full bundle of energy, wanting to run around nonstop until he is exhausted. He loves wet food, and he also loves to sit up in the cat tree and watch the world go by. He is also quite the snuggler! We believe he was born around July 13, 2024. He is negative for FIV and FeLV, microchipped, and neutered. He has had his rabies vaccination and his first set of FVRCP/FeLV vaccines.  Harry is Heartland #14605ki.

Adoption Process
the first step in our process is an application. The questions on the application are designed to determine if the pet would be a good fit in this home. We contact the applicant’s veterinarian to verify they have a good history of previous (or current) pet care. We meet the applicant at Petsmart or at their home to allow them to interact with the pet they are interested in adopting. If all goes well the adoption is finalized. We have an adoption contract, requiring regular vet care, indoor homes, return to us if it doesn’t work out, etc. Our dog adoption fee is $175, cats range from $80 for older cats to $125 for kittens
