Meet Gatsby
Gatsby was found on the streets looking to enter peoples homes to find warmth. When he went into foster on 1/7/2025, he was very run down and scared. He would hide as soon as he saw his foster mama and when he did let her pet him, he’d look away and sometimes cringe when touched. Over the course of the next few weeks, his foster mama spent time petting him and giving him treats and love. Most of the time, he would lay there and look down and try to pretend his foster mama wasn’t there. After around 3 weeks in foster, things began to turn around for him. He attempted to play for the first time. His favorite toys were the laser pointer, some string, and mice. He would play with the resident cats through the crack under the door to his room. He even seemed to be enjoying getting pet more. Gatsby would lean into neck scratches and stretch out his neck for chin pets. He is still a timid boy, but he has made so much progress since coming to Ahimsa. Now it is time for him to find his forever home, where his new person can expand on his progress and work with him to become a more confident cat. Gatsby should be in a home along with another young kitty who can show him the ropes of how to be a proper cat and who will help him gain even more confidence. If you are interested in adopting him, applications can be found on our website www.ahimsahaven.org. Meet and greets are with an approved application by appointment only. As always, cats that are ready to be adopted are spayed/neutered, have age appropriate shots, are micro-chipped, dewormed/deflead, and FEL/FIV tested.
Adoption Process
An application is required. Fees vary based on age/type of animal. Meet n' Greet with other dogs in house is required.
