Meet Shelby

Shelby is a big baby with a heart of gold. He loves being held on your chest and falling asleep, responds to any greeting with a tiniest high-pitched "meow," and he hasn't met a treat he doesn't like. He's so gentle and enjoys a thorough cheek and head scratch...you'll absolutely fall in love with him. He also absolutely loves rolling up in a box -- usually one that's too small for his 11-pound frame -- and snoring off. This cat will be your best buddy for cuddles and relaxation. We found Shelby in Crown Heights, abandoned with a cat colony, where he was looking for food. It didn't take us long to rescue him, and after 2 days of being terrified, he melted when we held him. Shelby is 2 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, free of fleas and parasites, and negative for FIV/FeLV. He seems fine with other cats, though we always recommend a slow introduction. If you're interested in meeting Shelby, please go to our application here: https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/, then identify SUSE as the rescuer and fill out the form! Thank you for thinking of a rescued angel! Every dime goes to save another homeless kitty on the street.

Adoption Process
We have an adoption application, an adoption fee to help us recoup a small portion of our vet bills and expenses and an adoption agreement.
