Meet Brandy

What's better than playing fetch with a slobbery dog? Playing fetch with a smart cat! Brandy is an affectionate six-year-old cat who loves to play with her people, with other cats, and independently. She moved into one our foster homes after we were able to get her out of the shelter in April 2024 (her owner had passed away), where there were five other cats and a small mellow dog. It took her a little while to get comfortable with the whole crew, but eventually she did, and started playing with the other cats. When she's not playing, she spends a lot of time on her perch by the window or snuggling on and under blankets, both with and without her human companions. Brandy did get adopted in October 2024 by a wonderful person who had several other cats. Despite all her efforts, one of the cats did not accept Brandy and sadly she came back to us in February 2025. The person is very sad it didn't work out and so is Brandy, because they got very attached to each other.  So now our very sweet Brandy is really hoping she gets her third and final home. She's been through a lot in her six years and deserves some stability and a furever home. Fingers crossed it happens soon.  . If you'd like to meet Brandy or think she would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at http://www.trentoncats.org/adoption-questionnaire/ and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt! Despi te her young age, she has lost the majority of her teeth (not sure what happened), so she is on a wet food diet, but she is in good health.

Adoption Process
1. Ensure that you understand and are willing and capable of taking on the responsibility of a new pet. 2. Fill out the adoption form (found on website). This can be done online or downloaded and printed out. 3. Contact Trenton Cats Rescue so we can have a brief conversation with you to determine your needs and preferences, find out about your daily schedule, and talk about your previous experience with pets. 4. For renters, check with your landlord to ensure that cats are permitted and that you would not be violating any pet restrictions. 5. We can help determine which cat best fits with your lifestyle or you can visit with one or more that most interest you. 6. We will do one or more follow up calls after the adoption to check how things are going and address any concerns you may have. Adoption fees generally range from $100.00 to $125.00 and vary mostly by the cats age. We also have events that sometimes offer lowered adoption costs. It's a good idea to keep checking back on our website and to "friend" us on Facebook to keep up to date on our events.
