Meet Dorito
Meet Dorito, a handsome, affectionate, gentle, and special soul! This handsome boy is so thankful he was rescued , and has blossomed in his time with his foster family. He now LOCES to snuggle on the couch ever time you sit down to watch tv , and is always with another cat snuggling too. He’s a really special , handsome guy! He was rescued from a dangerous area of The Bronx where cats, including his foster buddy Rey, get hit by cars, and worse. We do our best to help all the cats in this area as we can, and Dorito (and Rey) are some of the lucky ones. Dorito is now a healthy adult , neutered , negative for FIV and FELV, and vaccinated. He loves other cats, especially his foster friends Rey and Emmett (also available for adoption!) . When we rescued Dorito he was SO dirty that the white portions of his fur were brown. After a couple of weeks, his true beautiful coat started to shine through as well as his sweet demeanor . Dorito has the cutest meow, and lets you know when he wants his meals! He has learned to play, and snuggle with other cats. Dorito need a special, loving home! Dorito will repay you with purrs and biscuits. If you do consider opening your heart up Dorito(or maybe Emmett) together, it would be incredible. To apply to adopt or inquire more about Dorito (and maybe with Rey or Emmett!!) email [email protected] or call Joan at (718) 671-1695
Adoption Process
We wish to place cats only in secure, safe, stable, loving homes, and we are very careful in our review of the applications. Potential Pet-parents fill out an Adoption Application, we review the application, call the applicant, schedule a time for them to visit our cats. We check their references, call their veterinarian, and verify that their backup person who would take the cats if something happened to the adopter is on board. Then a Foster Agreement is completed. When all parties are happy, after about 2 weeks, we have the finalized Adoption Agreement sent to us.
