PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. PAWS is Philadelphia's largest no-kill shelter and is working to make Philadelphia a city in which every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home. Through its adoption locations, special events, and foster care network, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals each year.In March 2010, PAWS opened a low-cost, high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic serving pet owners and rescues in an effort to keep pets healthy and reduce the homeless pet population. Located in the Grays Ferry section of the city, the Clinic serves pet owners who have difficulty affording or do not have access to basic veterinary care (sterilization, vaccinations, treatments for upper respiratory infections/parasites/fleas, etc.) and rescue organizations that need affordable spay/neuter surgery and basic veterinary care to carry out their lifesaving work. Support for PAWS funds lifesaving initiatives including adoption and foster care programs, spay/neuter surgeries, low-cost vaccinations, and other efforts, all of which help reduce and will ultimately eliminate the unnecessary killing of Philadelphia's animals. Donations to PAWS are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Meet Larry Long Legs

If you're looking for an active kitty with lots of personality, Larry is your guy! He is a purring machine who equally loves making biscuits on the couch and long play sessions with a string or feather toy. After being found with frostbite on his ears, Larry Long Legs is healing up well with his foster and ready for his forever home. He will need to be played with daily as he still has some of his kitten energy. Larry uses the litter box perfectly. He adores food so he could even learn some tricks if you take the time to teach him! Larry is friendly to everyone he meets so he could do well in a home with other pets and respectful children. He is still young so occasionally sets boundaries with gentle nips. But he is not one to hide away for alone time and is happiest when with his people. Larry loves his lap time and will even stretch out fully on your legs. This orange kitty will make you laugh with his silly antics and chatty meows. Adoption Process

Adoption fees are: Dogs: $150 Puppies (under 1 year): $200 Cats: $50 Kittens (under 6 months): $75 All adopted animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
