Hey, we need some help with 21 across...what's a six letter word for "gentle doofus with a heart of gold but no sense of self-preservation; often in reference to a cat using one brain cell"? Ohhh, ORANGE! Duh, and that makes the nine letter word for 14 down ADOPTABLE! Will Shortz is one puzzle we are happy to leave unsolved, so long as that means he gets to stick around! A friendly and quirky young kitty, Will was found stray with a potential bite wound to his back/tail area, but had the benefit of being brought inside for a few weeks by his caretaker before getting him set up with a date at PAWS. He is all healed up from that wound, but due to it's unknown origin he shouldn't be in a home with other animals for a few months to make sure he didn't bring home anything more than a cool scar bruised ego. Will does an excellent job at making friends, so he would do well in a social home that can provide him with the enrichment and engagement he craves from his loyal fans. So, while print may indeed be dead, Will Shortz (the cat) is continuing to thrive thanks for people like you, but he's one of a kind and won't be available for long!
