Meet Tofu and Muffin

Tofu and Muffin are an incredible duo. While they came to their foster terrified, hissing and spitting, it didn’t take long for them to adjust to the VIP life and they are now affectionate, playful kittens. Tofu is the smaller and more confident of the two. Though she is still a tiny bit shy around new people, she is quickly won over with a Churu treat and a bit of playtime. Before long, she will be begging for pets by flopping down in front of you, showing off her belly and rolling around with purring delight when she gets attention. She loves her foster siblings and loves to play with her brother Muffin. She also happily entertains herself on her own with the track and ball toys, running around with springs and puff balls, or standing on her hind legs like a meerkat in order to reach wand toys or treats just above her head. She is a happy-go-lucky girl who will snuggle in your bed at night, occasionally cuddle up on your lap for pets and conk out for a nap stretched out like a string bean. Muffin is a bit more shy than his sister; he may hide under the bed when strangers first come over, but if you pull out a cat dancer or other wand toy, he will slowly emerge as playtime is his very favorite thing. Once he gets into it, he will perform Olympic jumps and twists in the air, grabbing for the toy at unbelievable heights. Once he’s able to show off his moves, he can be lured by a Churu or two and, once he gets to know you, you will have the immense privilege of being adored by this handsome, shy boy. Muffin loves playing with his human or with Tofu and he also can spend long stretches entertaining himself with toys or carrying a sparkly puff ball in his mouth (the pink one is his favorite). Muffin loves pets, but he sometimes gets overstimulated, so needs an adult or observant teen who can read his signals. He nips occasionally, but never hard, and never out of aggression. Muffin loves nothing more than to lie by your feet at bedtime. He is the first to jump on the bed and cuddle in at night, and will run around excitedly when you wake up in the morning. Being around Tofu gives him confidence, and it’s often after seeing her receive pets or accept a stranger that he will follow suit, so if he’s not adopted with her, he needs a confident playmate around his age to show him the way.   These two are the perfect combo of kittens, and they would do amazingly well if adopted together. If not together, they need to be adopted with another playful cat around their age. Tofu would do fine with kids and other cats. Muffin should only be in a home with adults or teens and other cats. Both kittens would also likely do just fine with dogs, given a proper introduction. These two siblings may have had a rough start, but they are ready for their furrrever homes and can’t wait to meet their potential adopters!
