Meet Turnip

Who remembers the pretty tabby left in a crate at our door while we were closed? Named Turnip because she "turned up" here, she's still waiting for a home where she can plant her roots. When she was dropped off (in the cold no less), she was understandably a bit angry at the world. However, she's become quite friendly and sweet over the past few months. Even if she's comfy in a bed when you walk in, she'll come say hi (or just beckon you over with sweet chirps and purrs) and wants to know what you're up to. However, she does have her preferences, such as being petted on the head and shoulders and not near her hind quarters (we get that!). And did we mention her purr is delightful and oh-so calming? We estimate Turnip is about two years old. She would probably do best in a house with just one or no other cats and most likely no small children. Turnip is spayed, up to date on vaccines, flea-treated, microchipped and dewormed. If you want to give Turnip her forever garden, come visit her or apply at secondchanceas.org/adopt. For questions, message us here or call 570-376-3646.
