Meet Sonata

DOB:  08/01/16   Sonata is a beautiful 7-year-old female Siamese who is very shy and frightened. Originally adopted as a kitten from GRASP, she was returned to us when her owner recognized Sonata’s discomfort when faced with recent human and canine additions to her family. She needs a special home and adopter – someone who understands Siamese cats and is willing to let Sonata take her time adjusting to a new environment (which could be a long time). Once she feels a bit comfortable, she may let you pet her; in fact, she seems to enjoy it and purrs. Occasionally, she has even started to let her foster mother pick her up, put her in her lap, and pet her for a few minutes. She purrs loudly and rolls around, seeming to ask for belly rubs. Once she even greeted her foster mom by walking over to her and rubbing against her legs. However, she spends most of her time hiding, often in plain sight, but when spooked she runs under the chair. She is a very neat cat and eats very little, although she can be fussy about which canned food she likes (changing her mind often). Early in the evening, she can be heard playing with her toys, especially the 3-tiered ball spinner. Her foster mom believes that in a quiet home, Sonata would be happier and hopefully more outgoing. In her present home, which she shares with four cats and a small yappy dog as well as other foster felines, she is confined to one room and is usually alone. If you have the right home for Sonata, apply to adopt her today - she really deserves a good life!    This cat has been combo-tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV, received all age-appropriate vaccinations and is altered.
