Meet Koko, the most magical little man! Is he a cat? A teddy bear? A yet-to-be-defined species? His purr tells us he must be a kitten, but sometimes we're not sure because we've never met anyone who looks like him. Aside from his unique look that's made him a crowd favorite, he's playful, affectionate, social, funny, and all around adorable! Koko likes to play with his foster siblings, loves to eat, and enjoys full-body cuddles. Because of his age and playfulness, Koko should go to a home with a friendly resident cat. Koko came to us as part of a colony trapping project in BedStuy, Brooklyn. He quickly warmed up to the indoor life and tried to snuggle with everyone, even the dog in his rescuer's home. Koko is about 4 months young, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, chipped, and treated for fleas and parasites. He must go to a home with another friendly, young cat or kitten. As a special/rare breed, his adoption fee will be $275. Please also note that while his long fur makes for a wonderful, cute look, it requires additional care: daily to weekly brushings, eye cleanings, and potentially professional grooming. If an adopter can't commit to this additional level of maintenance, a long-haired cat is not for them (and that's OK!). If you’re interested in meeting this furry friend, please visit https://brooklynanimalaction.org/adoption-forms/ and submit an adoption application. Be sure to designate Claire as the rescuer and Koko as the cat. Thank you for choosing adoption, your support allows us to make room for the next kitty in need.
Adoption Process
We have an adoption application, an adoption fee to help us recoup a small portion of our vet bills and expenses and an adoption agreement.
