American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. Our organization was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and proud to boast more than 1 million supporters across the country.

Meet Molasses

Meet Molasses, the sweetest girl around! Molasses is ready to find a loving family where she can shine as the center of attention! This gentle natured cat will thrive in a calm home where she is given the time and space she needs to settle in. She has a soft spot for chin rubs and treats, which are a great way to get to know her. Once this little lady is feeling comfortable and safe, she’ll even happily soak up full-body pets. When Molasses is met with patience and care, her true sweetness comes to life!  Molasses needs a home with no other cats. Molasses would do best in a quiet home with a patient adopter who can help her come out of her shell. Adopters should use a slow approach and avoid forced interactions with Molasses. Are you ready for a mellow companion who will shower you with love in her own special way? Click the “Adopt Me” button to learn more about Molasses here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/c1740a30-1583-434e-a201-37d93a7222e2   *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.*
