January 2025 We’re so happy to introduce Lowes, a handsome, affectionate boy! Watch Lowes in his new video ! January 9, 2025 – At the location where I was feeding Advance Auto Mama Kitty for several weeks, I noticed that even when she wasn’t in that area (via her tracking collar) the food was still getting eaten. This is a wooded area in the middle of a VERY busy shopping center where NO cats could live safely. I observed a few times and got a few clips on my wildlife camera and saw a gray striped kitty eating the food. Of course, as soon as I would approach, it would run. After I finally captured Advance Auto Mama, I kept putting food out for the tabby cat and then I set a trap to save it. I caught him, no problem, and took him to be neutered and vetted. He had a HUGE face, so knew he was a male kitty. My goal was to put him in with my feral cats after an isolation period. I put him in the master bathroom at FURR to recuperate after his surgery. Overall, he was pretty healthy, but he was thin, COVERED in ticks, tested negative for FIV & FeLV and got all his shots. I did tip his left ear. His name is “LOWES”! So, after a week of hurrying his head and shaking in fear, he has started allowing us to rub and scratch him! He has never attempted to hiss, bite or scratch. After a week, he has accepted the fact that he is safe, warm, fed & being cared for. I don’t think LOWES will go to my sanctuary because he is going to be awesome! He is also GORGEOUS, has a short stout body and a short tail! Meet all FURR kitties available for adoption on PetFinder!
