"F.U.R.R. has rescued & helped hundreds of cats that were in dire need and had no humans to turn to. These include injured cats, sick cats, feral cats, cats whose owners had died without making arrangements for their pets, abandoned cats that were left when their owners moved, homeless mom cats with kittens, homeless kittens whose mom cat had died…the list goes on and on. Basically they are mostly homeless and unwanted cats that would have been euthanized in a shelter, died on the streets from an illness or accident, or continued to reproduce and add to the cat overpopulation problem. "Not only has F.U.R.R. helped the cats, but we've also helped many people in our community, people who have feral or stray cat overpopulation problems and can’t afford to spay or neuter, or get medical help for injured or sick cats they’ve found. "Equally important is many, many F.U.R.R. rescued kitties have been adopted and are now safe and loved!

January 24, 2025 My name is CRAPPIE, like the fish! Meet me in this  video ! I was rescued used by FURR at the Atlantic Seafood plant in Hampstead.  That plant was torn down & I was saved along with about 70 other relatives of mine! I’m just a tiny little girl, a couple years old and I am VERY SPECIAL because I am blind in one eye. I do just fine with one eye & I never feel sorry for myself!  It’s hard for me to understand why I am still up for adoption?  I guess folks want “purrfect” cats?  BUT, I am so adorable, sweet & tiny.  My little upside down smile gives me that funny “Grumpy Cat” look!  LOL!
