Meet Cortland
To start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html Should our adoption coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss it with you. Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ("Feline Immunodeficiency Virus") and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). Cortland Est DOB: 8/31/2024 Male, DSH, neutered Not good wtih young children Cortland and his sister Macintosh, the two survivors in a litter of six, came to HOM as malnourished and sick kittens. After a rocky start, these siblings have blossomed into happy, rambunctious, affectionate, and playful little darlings. Their strong-willed, determined, and curious personalities make them truly intriguing. They are now looking for a family who will adopt them together and embrace their unique traits. THEY ARE A BONDED PAIR AND MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. Cortland has a type A personality. He is very sweet and affectionate with humans. He loves to be held and receive full-body pettings. His eye color is a pale lavender shade rather than the typical blue in Siamese cats. He will dominate any situation and strive to be the center of attention. He is very close to his sister, and if separated from her, Cortland will cry continuously until he is held by a human or reunited with his sister. Cortland is a very good eater. Until he figured out that there would always be food, Cortland laid his entire body on the bowl to protect his food while eating. Nevertheless, he and his sister must still be fed in separate bowls.
