To start our adoption process, House of Mews Rescue asks that you please complete our online no-obligation adoption application, which is located on our website under the adopt tab at http://www.houseofmewsrescue.org/adopt.html Should our Adoption Coordinator feel your application is a good fit, a HOM volunteer will reach out to discuss your application with you. Current on vaccinations, and have tested negative for both FIV ("Feline Immunodeficiency Virus") and FeLV (Feline Leukemia). Butter, Peanut, and Jelly are three fluffy kittens rescued at 12 weeks old from the street without their mother. They have long silky fur and become quite poofy on humid days or when they are brushed. Due to their outdoor upbringing, they were initially fearful and unsocial. After some foster care, they have become sweet, goofy, mellow, playful, and friendly fur balls. They are curious creatures like hobbits and will explore every nook and cranny. A quick google search suggests that these kittens may have some Norwegian Forest cat in them. All three a highly motivated by food and Churu treats, so one can easily win their affection with smelly wet food or treats. Catnip is another one of their favorites. These fluffy fur balls like to “help” their foster mom clean by chasing after the Swifter duster, chewing on the mop pad, sitting on the trash bags, AND….. supervising the proper cleaning of their litter boxes. In some way, they like to get into things like puppies. Despite their playfulness, they are apprehensive of strangers and will hide in unfamiliar environments. Therefore they need experienced adopters who will help them adjust to their new homes. They will need to be adopted in pairs or into a home with another young, friendly, non-alpha cat. She is the most independent one in the litter. She can be moody and will interact with people on her terms. When she is in the mood, she is very cuddly and affectionate. She enjoys one-to-one petting/talking sessions with her foster parents late at night. She will likely grow up as daddy’s or mommy’s little girl. Approx. birth date: 5/12/22 Foster: CCL
