DOB: 1/31/2010 In a world where forever homes aren’t always forever, Kiara thought she had it all—a loving family, a cozy spot by the window, and plenty of Sheba to snack on. But after 13 years, her world was turned upside down when she was brought to the shelter. Her owners said she didn’t get along with their other cats, but in reality, Kiara just wanted a little space to shine. Now, at 15 years old, this dilute calico darling is ready for a heartwarming new chapter—one filled with gentle pets, all the attention she craves, and, of course, a lifetime supply of Sheba and dry food (her absolute favorites!). Will you be the one to give Kiara the happy ending she deserves? Visit her today at the adoption center and make this the season of love, hope, and second chances. ❤️ we posted a video of her on our social media you can view here: https://www.instagram.com/colonycats/reel/DGqaPNuvGaj/ ed and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
Adoption Process
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $100 for kittens (4 months and younger), $85 for kittens 5 or 6 months, $75 for adult cats, $50 for Wise Whiskers (7 years and older). We often have adoption specials where the adoption fees are lowered. The adoption fee includes the animals already being spayed/neutered, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), all vaccinations (FVRCP and DHLPP), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies adopted are not old enough to have received a rabies vaccine, then the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done), microchip, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
