DOB: 1/22/2024 Meet Mickey, a gentle 1-year-old tabby who’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. Rescued from a life outside, Mickey is still figuring out how to trust humans, but with a little time and patience, she’s sure to blossom into a loving companion. She may be shy at first, preferring quiet corners and soft hideaways, but in the right home—a calm, peaceful space where she can go at her own pace—she’ll start to show her sweet, tender side. If you’re looking for a quiet companion who just needs a little extra love to shine, Mickey might be the perfect match for you. Come meet her at the adoption center and help her find the safe, loving home she deserves! Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
Adoption Process
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $100 for kittens (4 months and younger), $85 for kittens 5 or 6 months, $75 for adult cats, $50 for Wise Whiskers (7 years and older). We often have adoption specials where the adoption fees are lowered. The adoption fee includes the animals already being spayed/neutered, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), all vaccinations (FVRCP and DHLPP), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies adopted are not old enough to have received a rabies vaccine, then the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done), microchip, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
