DOB: 1/29/2017 Minnie is an 8-year-old, 18-pound sweetheart who found herself at the shelter after her beloved human passed away. She’s still a little sad and can seem shy at first, but give her some time (and a few gentle pets), and she’ll show you just how loving she can be. Her favorite things? Being brushed, getting attention, and lounging in a cozy spot. Minnie could use a home that will help her get to a healthy weight with the right diet and some gentle playtime. She’d thrive in a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and cherished again. If you’re looking for a big-hearted cat (with a little extra fluff), Minnie would love to be your new best friend! you can watch a video of her on our Instagram or Facebook: https://www.instagram.com/colonycats/reel/DFoKuJ_Stu4/?hl=en Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
Adoption Process
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $100 for kittens (4 months and younger), $85 for kittens 5 or 6 months, $75 for adult cats, $50 for Wise Whiskers (7 years and older). We often have adoption specials where the adoption fees are lowered. The adoption fee includes the animals already being spayed/neutered, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), all vaccinations (FVRCP and DHLPP), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies adopted are not old enough to have received a rabies vaccine, then the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done), microchip, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
