DOB: 1/19/2023 Missy is a breathtaking 2-year-old dilute calico with a heart as soft as her pastel-colored coat. Found trying to survive outside, she’s now safe and warm, but she’s still waiting for the one thing she truly dreams of—a forever home. With her sweet and gentle nature, Missy prefers the quiet joys in life. You’ll often find her curled up in the front of the adoption center, basking in a sunbeam, eyes half-closed as she drifts into dreams of a home filled with love. She’s not demanding—just a peaceful presence, happy to keep you company while the world hums around her. If you’re looking for a calm and loving companion who will cherish cozy afternoons and quiet moments with you, Missy may be the perfect match. Could you be the one to turn her dreams into reality? Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**
Adoption Process
We have an application that requires the potential adopter to wait until their application can be verified. Once everything checks out the adopter comes and picks up their new fur member of the family and signs a contract. One of the highlights of our contract states that if for ANY reason at ANY time they cannot care for the animal, they must return the cat or dog back to Colony Cats (& dogs). Our adoption fees are $100 for kittens (4 months and younger), $85 for kittens 5 or 6 months, $75 for adult cats, $50 for Wise Whiskers (7 years and older). We often have adoption specials where the adoption fees are lowered. The adoption fee includes the animals already being spayed/neutered, Feline Leukemia and FIV tested (cats), heartworm tested (dogs), all vaccinations (FVRCP and DHLPP), rabies vaccine (if kittens or puppies adopted are not old enough to have received a rabies vaccine, then the new owner will need to go to their vet to get this done), microchip, flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
