MediumHello there, my name is Acorn. I came to the shelter after I was found outside, all on my own, as a stray. I am actually a senior cat, but I hope you won't let that deter you from learning more about me. Some people see an older senior cat, and instead of falling head over heels in love, they sometimes move along and look for a younger feline friend. But if you were to pass me up, you would really be missing out. Here is what the staff have learned about me in my short time here at the shelter:`When Acorn first arrived, we weren't quite sure what we were getting ourselves into. He is a very large cat, his one adorable ear is already ear tipped, and he had a little bit of a grumpy face. Once he got to his cage, it was hard to see him laying all curled up to the very back, looking very nervous and fearful of us. We gave him a little bit of time to settle in, and then we just wanted to know more about this handsome boy! We discovered that while he looked very scared and as if he wanted nothing to do with us, with just a few soft words and a gentle hand, we found him to be an affectionate and overly sweet cat. He leans in for pets and has a wonderful purr. He really is just a big love-bug. If you're looking for someone gentle, soft-spoken, and loving, Acorn is definitely the one for you. `*Acorn is currently Foster to Adopt while we help him with a dental, come meet his fella today!*The Adoption Fee Includes:- initial feline distemper combination vaccination- first deworming or stool check- rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age)- 24 Petwatch microchipping- flea treatment/preventative- spaying or neuteringAdoption Cost: $75.00FELV/FIV Testing provided for an additional fee of $35.00.
