Adora

High Plateau Humane Society

HPHS was founded in 1987 and we rescue about 120 dogs and 250 cats per year. We are an all-volunteer organization and run a thrift store, called Second Chance Thrift, from which we adopt out animals and sell our low-cost spay and neuter certificates. We have a number volunteers, including a board of five. We do this because we have a passion to rescue orphaned and homeless animals and want to make life better for the animals in our county.

Meet Adora

The A Battery: Adora, Amaretta & Astro are children of a mama spayed too late. These kids need a home with space to run & play. When closed up in a room, the will meow at the door until set free. Cords need protected from these kittens! Adora is shy & tends to hide at first; she comes to you on her terms. Sometimes she comes right up to you very friendly & lovable. Adora prefers flavors other than fish in wet food Meet these kittens during store hours W-F 10-2, middle Saturdays 10-1. Email [email protected] with questions.

Adoption Process
When someone releases an animal to HPHS, we require a signed release form. We then have the animal vaccinated and spayed or neutered before offering it for adoption. Adoption fees vary and are listed with each animal.
