Hi, my name is Magpie! I was rescued from a feral colony with the full intention of getting me ready for my furr-ever home - so, here we are!! There are other ferals with us, but honestly, I was a bit timid about getting picked up and the slowest of the gang to warm up to the humans. I decided that I really like people. I like playtime, being petted and treats - especially the treats! I have mastered the art of schmoozing for attention with the hopes that the treats will come along with the love. I got my name from flying thru the air after the stick toys with feathers and things attached. Because of my previous colony life and playmates in my home, I'd really do well with other cats in the home. We have a dog in our house and I have done ok with it too. Sometimes that depends on the size, age and breed of the dog. Slow introductions are best. It would be nice to have a buddy to hang out with, especially if you have one of those job things. I have lived an indoor only life since rescued and that suits me just fine (have you been outside lately? Yikes, it is cold and wet out there!) I tested negative for FELV/FIV, and current on my shots and am very good with the litterbox. I will be microchipped as a part of the adoption process.
