Maude Schiffley Chapter S.P.C.A.

Our organization is the oldest pet welfare one in our community founded in 1957. Our board is 100% volunteer. We operate an Adoption Center in our rural community with the help of minimal paid staff and many volunteers. Primarily we provide shelter, medical and social rehabilitation, promote S/N, responsible pet ownership education, and permanent placement for abandoned pets in need in our community.

Meet Smudge

Greetings! I am Smudge, the most dapper and handsome feline you will ever lay eyes upon. I'm not one to brag, but I must say, I am the epitome of feline perfection. From my chunky physique to my stunning patterned fur, I'm a sight to behold.I am a curious cat, always on the lookout for new adventures and discoveries. I love being around people and soaking up all the attention I can get. I find humans to be fascinating creatures, and I especially enjoy watching them go about their day. When I'm not soaking up the attention of my human friends, I can often be found lounging by the window, observing the hustle and bustle of the world outside. Cars, people, birds, you name it, I find it all quite fascinating. In conclusion, I am Smudge, the most charming and debonair cat you will ever meet. I am full of curiosity, love, and mischief, and I'm in search of my forever home. If you're looking for a feline friend who is equal parts gentleman and comedian, then I am your cat. Let us embark on a journey filled with love, laughter, and endless cuddles. Smudge will be neutered before leaving the Shelter and you can call or email for the release date. The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations and wormings, spay or neuter surgery, Frontline application, collar, ID tag and a cardboard pet taxi. Shelter hours are Monday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm and the first and third Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm. Call 803-536-3918 for more information or email at: [email protected]

Adoption Process
We interview potential adoption candidates, require applications, and have a formal adoption contract. Adoption fees vary based on challenges in placing some pets, but generally run from $95 to $130
