Meet SLOANE (Neutered!)
Meet SLOANE. He has a face that is just looking for love. And he is deserving of it, too. He arrived at the shelter toward the end of June looking for love and a soft landing until he can find a new family. Part of the treatment the animals receive when they get to the shelter is regular food! When they are dumped or get lost, they have to eat whatever they find in the country or the city neighborhoods. So, it is a treat when they find themselves getting nourishing cat food and fresh water on a daily basis at the shelter. Within a short period of time their bodies and minds start to heal. SLOANE is showing interest in the camera that gets poked in front of his face from time to time. He gets along with the other male cats and is taking things easy these days. In the meantime, he is available for adoption appointments and would love to meet you. Especially if you are a serious adopter! Thanks to HART, a local cat rescue that assists the shelter, SLOANE is now neutered and received a rabies vaccine. That means he can go home the same day he is adopted! So, CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared. That includes taking your own cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment. No animal should run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
