Meet SISSY (Spayed!)

In her initial photos, you can see that SISSY was surprised to find herself surrendered to the shelter on November 4, 2023. She is listed as a three year old brown tabby with white markings and she weighs 8 pounds. She is already spayed, and she is a sweet girl, just scared. She is coming around now, though, as staff discovered and removed a very tight flea collar that was hurting her neck. She loves having her head scratched and under her chin and down her back. Clearly, she needs to be in an environment other than the shelter, so that she can relax and feel safe and loved. You know – somewhere like your house! Because she is already spayed, SISSY will be able to go home the same day that she is adopted. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt SISSY. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!

Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
