Meet SWEETHEART (Spayed!)

SWEETHEART arrived at the shelter in mid November 2024. She is listed as a shorthaired tortoiseshell with an age at that time of about six months. She weighed 6 pounds and 14 ounces. She is a sweet young lady who loves to have pets and scratches once she knows that you like her. Thanks to HART, a local cat rescue group that assists the shelter, she was spayed on February 18. As a result, she can go home the same day that she is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult size cat carrier with you to the appointment in case you do decide to adopt SWEETHEART or one of the other spayed or neutered animals currently at the shelter. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first! 

Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
