Meet CHAMP (Neutered!)
CHAMP Is a neutered 12 year-old male cat with an intake weight of 11 pounds. He was surrendered in early February 2025 with another older cat by an elderly couple who could no longer take care of all of their animals. CHAMP is a brown tabby. According to his former owners, he has a condition called megacolon and does require special food which they provided to the shelter. They were hoping that someone who can better provide for him will be willing to adopt him and maintain him for the rest of his life. Because he is already neutered, he can go home the same day that he is adopted. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt CHAMP or one of the other spayed or neutered cats currently at the shelter. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
