Meet PRU (Neutered!)

Go figure! PRU and his equally magnificent brother, KAI, were surrendered by their owner in late August 2024. The two boys are already neutered and both are hefty and in the 16 pound range. They are adorable and it took a week to get their initial photos because they were hiding behind cat towers once they found themselves at the shelter. These boys deserve a good home and they do not have to go together. The shelters job is to take care of each one of them until he can find a new home. So do not feel pressured to take both of them. Because PRU is already neutered, he can go home the same day that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash for a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a really large cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt this boy. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! And if you are planning to adopt both of them, take two large cat carriers with you! Safety first!

Adoption Process
Adoption contract, Adoption fee of $50 per cat and $80 per dog set by county commission and subject to change, drivers license and cash or check only. The adoption fees currently cover most, but not all, of the spay/neuter cost incurred by the county.
