$100DOB 5/2/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Coal, a sweet, friendly, affectionate mini-panther Bombay mix fella with a sleek, shiny black-patent-leather coat and huge copper-penny eyes. I turn on my purr motor the instant that Foster Meowmy picks me up. I rub her face while she kisses me, and then I’m off to do some exploring. However, I've recently developed a love for her brushing me, and I’m learning to appreciate lap time. The reason I like to explore is because I’m curious about everything! I’d rather play with a dry leaf than a stuffed cat toy. I get the zoomies as I race up the stairs to the landing of my foster home. Boy howdy, that’s so much fun! In my quieter moments, I like to bask in a warm patch of sunlight on the window sill so I can watch the birds and squirrels fly and scamper by. I was about six weeks old with no momma or siblings in sight when Foster Meowmy rescued me from the horse barn. It had been traumatic for me to be on my own at such a young age, so what a relief to be in her care! I was in pitiful shape with an abscess and intestinal parasites, so I was very grateful for her to be my Florence Nightingale. Now I’m all fixed up and ready for my fur-ever home. True confessions: I can be slow to warm up to new people. Once I feel comfy (like I did with Foster Meowmy), I’m fine. I just need to find a patient adopter who gives me the time and love so that I can acclimate to my new “digs.” Could that be you?
