We are Animal Services for the Austin/Travis County Health & Human Services Department. We are an open-intake shelter that takes in over 21,000 animals each year. We provide Animal Protection, Care & Control for Austin/Travis County. We also provide an array of pet homelessness prevention programs.

Meet SKIPPER

Skipper may have been scared when he first arrived, but he's settled nicely into the routine of 3 meals a day and lots of love from the humans around him. He chirps out for attention and loves pets! He's very friendly and would probably love to play outside his kennel more. This young boy is ready to be set free in a home with lots of toys and people to cater to his every meow!

Adoption Process
-At least 18 yrs of age -Photo ID -Current rabies vacc and vet visit within last year for any pets already at home -Proof of home ownership or consent from property owner -$75 fee -Signed Agreement, including assumption of all risks, medical needs -All animals will be spayed or neutered -We will not adopt out animals that have shown aggressive tendencies
