Meet Scarlett

Hi there! I’m Scarlett, did someone say that only dogs get the zoomies? well not true, I get them too. I am playful, love tunnels and string toys, and that laser thing is so fun. I also have the cutest purr you have ever heard. I enjoy sitting in your lap and love extended petting sessions. I'm curious about dogs, but very gentle ones with proper introduction. I will get scared if they try to chase me, as I had a bad experience and even though I'm very curious about dogs, I need to learn to be careful. I do like cats and having a playmate I can nibble on, instead of nibbling on you, would be good. but I can also entertain myself. I am consider myself an explorer and I will make my mission to know every inch of my new home. A note from my foster mom who insisted on writing something (you know how moms are): Scarlett is really a trooper, she has endured a long recovery from a broken bone with the best attitude possible. She's done all her physical therapy even though she was in pain. She is a bundle of love and energy, she does need to learn how to play so older gentle kids would be a better fit for her. She does great with my dog, but my dog doesn't react at all to cats. She seems to do OK with other cats.

Adoption Process
(1) OPA's adoption application and adoption contract must be completed. (2) OPA will review the application and contact you. (3) We will arrange for you to meet the pet. (4) Once approved, we reserve the right to conduct a home visit. (5) The adoption fees are as follows: Dogs: $160 each - includes being current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed and heartworm tested (adults). Pet Cats: $80 each - includes being current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed, FIV/FeLk tested. Pet Cats (micro-chipped): $100 each - includes being current on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, dewormed, FIV/FeLk tested,micro-chipped. Texas Barn Cats: $50 each - includes spayed/neutered, ear tipping, and 1 year rabies.
