YesGeorgia Sunshine is an orange tabby with yellow eyes and a lively spirit to match. This independent gal is as confident as they come, loving her freedom and space but always ready to greet anyone with her affectionate side — as long as she’s got all four paws on the ground. Georgia is all about connection on her terms and prefers to interact without being picked up. Energetic and playful, Georgia is an expert climber and a little bundle of excitement. Her favorite toys include anything with a string, especially when there’s a stuffed toy attached, and she’s captivated by any ball on a circular track she can spin around. She’s always gentle and well-mannered, and she makes for a wonderful companion filled with a zest for life. When it’s time to rest, Georgia has her favorite spots lined up — she’s often found soaking up the sun by the windows, loafing at the end of your bed, or curled up in her cozy box. She’s also a talker when it comes to food, making it known with her little meows whenever it’s mealtime. This girl is food-motivated, which could make her a great candidate for learning a few tricks if you’re up for the challenge. Georgia is confident around people of all ages, and is social even strangers. She’s a bit choosy with other cats, preferring her own space and more laid back feline friends. Georgia is on a special diet of Royal Canin HP to help with a sensitive stomach and IBS, but requires no meds and is an easy lady. Georgia would thrive in a medium to low energy home with adults or older kids who understand her love for independence and respect her need for grounded affection. She’d made a wonderful addition to a home looking for a rare orange lady that looks like sunshine and has the bright personality to match!
Adoption Process
We ask potential adopters to fill out an application, which we review. We prefer to have the name and contact information for a current or former veterinarian.
We typically deliver the adopted pet(s) to the adopter's home, at which time a contract is signed. We ask for a $100 adoption donation, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, FIV and feline leukemia testing for cats, heartworm testing for dogs, and all veterinary records.
If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we take the animal back at any time during his or her life. Until the adopter and Thundering Paws decide together that the adoption is final, we will refund the adoption donation.
