YesMeet Princess SJ: A Sweetheart with a Unique Backstory Princess SJ is a dainty long haired cat with soft black fur accented with hints of brown. Her gentle, loving personality makes her the perfect companion. Princess SJ would do best in a home without other pets, where she can be the center of attention. She would prefer a quiet home without too much commotion. She adores being pet and when you scratch her head she purrs like an engine. She’s also playful—laser pointers and balls are her favorite toys, and she’ll keep you entertained. When her foster family found her in August 2024, she was in rough shape and mistaken for a boy, so they named her Slim Jim. Once they realized she was a girl, Slim Jim became Princess SJ. Over the months, she’s made an incredible transformation and is now ready for her forever home. Princess SJ has some special medical needs: she has a history of elevated kidney levels and a heart murmur. She requires a kidney care diet. Despite these challenges, she has so much love and joy to offer the right person. Adoption Process
We ask potential adopters to fill out an application, which we review. We prefer to have the name and contact information for a current or former veterinarian.
We typically deliver the adopted pet(s) to the adopter's home, at which time a contract is signed. We ask for a $100 adoption donation, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, FIV and feline leukemia testing for cats, heartworm testing for dogs, and all veterinary records.
If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we take the animal back at any time during his or her life. Until the adopter and Thundering Paws decide together that the adoption is final, we will refund the adoption donation.
