Meet Carlos

Carlos a été trouvé errant en octobre 2020 avant d'être amené au Réseau Secours Animal en février 2021 dans l'optique qu'il soit socialisé et bien pris en charge jusqu'à une potentielle adoption. Malheureusement il est porteur du virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF). Pour plus d'information sur le VIF:  https://www.veterinairesaucanada.net/ressources-associees/virus-de-l-immunodeficience-feline-fiv/  Malgré cela, il est en bonne santé et peut vivre une belle et longue vie à l'intérieur! Carlos est un chat timide qui a besoin de beaucoup de douceur. Il ne vous laissera l'approcher si vous arrivez trop vite ou faites trop de bruit. Il souhaite qu'on l'approche doucement et puis qu'on le caresse doucement sous le menton. Il adore les câlins, mais reste craintif. La présence des autres chats est rassurante pour lui et il bénéficierait sûrement d'avoir des compagnons félins dans sa maison pour la vie. Carlos aime aussi beaucoup les gâteries et c'est ainsi que nous avons pu avancer dans sa socialisation. Il n'aime pas être manipulé et ne pourrait pas vivre avec des enfants. Carlos se cherche une famille calme et patiente qui souhaitera lui donner la meilleure des chances. Carlos est un chat adulte donc les frais d'adoption pour lui sont de 290$. Il est stérilisé, vacciné et  micropucé. Il est positif pour  le virus de l'immunodéficience féline (VIF), mais négatif pour la leucose féline (FeLV). Des assurances santé de 6 semaines viennent avec son adoption. Carlos is a shy cat who needs a lot of gentleness. He won't let you approach him if you come too fast or make too much noise. He wants to be approached gently and then stroked gently under the chin. He loves to be cuddled, but remains fearful. The presence of other cats is reassuring for him, and he would certainly benefit from having feline companions in his forever home. Carlos is also very fond of treats, and that's how we've been able to make progress with his socialization. He doesn't like being handled and couldn't live with children. Carlos is looking for a calm, patient family who will give him the best possible chance. Carlos is an adult cat so the adoption fees for him are $290. He is sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. He is positive for the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) but negative for the feline leukaemia virus (FeLV). Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it.
