Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, primarily dogs from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue hundreds of animals every year, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.

QUEEN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!! Name:  Queen   Best Guess for Breed:  Domestic Short Hair    Age: 6 years (Est. DOB: 11/6/2018) SEX:  Female Approximate Weight:  8 lbs Coloring: Siamese  Type of Hair: Short Gets Along With:  Queen would likely do best as the only pet in the home. She may be ok with others with a slow, careful integration. We’re happy to help with tips and tricks!  Currently Living at: Foster in the DC area! I am Looking For: My forever home! Hi- I'm Queen, a sweet siamese lady. I won’t ask for much...just some love, cuddles and a sunny place to nap. And maybe a few toys too!  What My Foster Says About Me: Queen was a bit shy for the first few weeks but has become very trusting and friendly. She is still scared and will hide if she is afraid of something. She is very sweet. She loves to be around her person. She loves to play with a toy wand. She will show affection with rubbing/licking. Although she is not a lap cat, she will try to be close as possible and lay beside me, and reach out a paw to be as close as she can be. She is ok being alone, but likes to be with a person, and likes looking out the windows, and playing. When she feels safe, she is a secure cat in her behavior. She will greet you at the door and will be excited to see you once she is comfortable. She can be picked up, although she will let you know when she wants to be put down. Again, when she really trusts you, she enjoys being picked up and walked around while being held. She is a wonderful cat! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this cat is $200 ($350 for two cats adopted together). If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckycat.
