Tabitha Twitchit

Forgotten Felines of Culpeper

I have been rescuing for another group for 8 years, that group is in the process of dissolving. I am forming this group because there is a desperate need for it in this area. I believe that every cat deserves to have shelter from the elements, food, and humane care. I am hoping to lower the shelter's euthanasia rates, and help the community by taking in sick, orphaned, and abandoned cats through a network of foster homes, once expansion is necessary.

Meet Tabitha Twitchit

Meet Tabitha Twitchit! Tabitha is a beautiful torti girl, just 3 years old. She came to us with her 5 siblings on July 3, 2021 from a Good Samaritan who found them in her yard, flea infested and sick. Forgotten Felines took them into care the minute we saw them, vetted them, and got everyone healthy. Tabitha had been adopted as an emotional support cat, but was returned to us when her owner moved out of state and wasn't able to bring her cat.Tabitha is a sweet and affectionate girl - a people cat - and has a precious purr-sonality.  She’s a quieter kitty, and may take a little while to acclimate to a new home, but when she loves, she loves you with her whole heart. She wants to be with you,  follow you around,  snuggle on the couch, and envelope her world around you. Tabitha enjoys sleeping under blankets, sitting in the sunshine and headbutting your head to show you she loves you. She is a great companion cat.She gets along very well with other easy-going cats and cat friendly dogs.  She would do best in quieter to medium activity home with older children or just adults. Tabitha is ready to come home now with an approved application. She is dewormed, spayed, has her FVRCP and rabies vaccines, combo tested negative, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Please consider adding Tabitha to your family. You won't regret it. [email protected] or call 540.717.4420

Adoption Process
Once adoption application is approved and references checked, an adoption contract is signed. For all Shrinking Violets - not fully socialized cats - the adoption fee is $25. Requirements of adoption: may not declaw, if for any reason it doesn't work out the cat MUST come back to our organization. The cat's new, adoptive home must be an indoor only one in a quiet, low activity home, with older children. Must take to vet w/in 10 days.
