RappCats

We are a very small 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue group. Our county, Rappahannock County, does not have a public cat shelter, and we operate the only community cat shelter in the county, all done with private funding.

Meet Sheba

This spunky, cutie patootie is as sweet as can be! She loves love and will beg you for your attention. Sheba is a beautiful Tortie without the tortitude. Her estimated date of birth is 10/3/2021. Sheba was being cared for as a stray for about a year. She is looking for a home with someone who is willing to give lots of attention and cuddles!    We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at  540-987-6050  or email us at [email protected].

Adoption Process
We require a written adoption application, with a veterinary reference. To make sure that the cat will be a good fit for your family, we visit the home. Our adoption fees range from $110-$150.
