One of the original KD Kitties and longest foster residents, Vince is a goofy guy who lives up to his orange tabby reputation. He’s a little shy at first due to his former life as a feral cat, but he does allow pets once he trusts you. Although it takes time to earn his trust, once you do, we’re sure you’ll fall in love with this sweet guy. As with most cats, Vince will need time to adjust to his new home. Formerly feral cats generally require more time and patience than other cats, and it can take up to a year or more for them to fully adapt to their new home. Vince would do best in a home with other friendly cats and is tolerant of smaller, cat savvy dogs under 30lbs. Preference will go to those willing to adopt Vince with his cousin, Jack Jack, with a discounted, combined adoption fee of $250. Please reach out for more information! Adoption link can be found on our organization page.
Adoption Process
We have a Google form that all potential fosters and adopters are required to fill out. Based on this form, we will proceed with the screening process and have a telephone/virtual/or in person interview which generally includes all persons who will be living with the cats. If approved, they have the option to foster, foster-to-adopt or adopt. If they decide to adopt, we have a separate adoption agreement that they are required to fill out and sign, along with an adoption fee that is equal to the amount of veterinary services spent on the cat(s) to include spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, etc. If fostering-to-adopt, we may consider waiving the adoption fee. Our goal is to ensure cats are placed in a home that is a good fit for the cat(s), the adopter(s), and all family members and residents to include other pets currently living in the home. Fosters and adopters are required to contact us and return animals to our rescue if at any time they feel they can no longer care for the animal.
