Meet Binx - Sweet Tabby
Meet Binx! Binx is a rambunctious little guy, always up for wrestling, running, and playing with his siblings (including Jack), until he's ready to fall asleep and cuddle with them. He likes to involve his human friends in play as well, whether playing with toys together, playing on a lap, or climbing a pant leg. He purrs from attention, and he's happy to fall asleep on a lap once he uses up all his play energy. He loves meal time, whether eating his own meal or trying to eat from a sibling's bowl. He was named after the beloved black cat character in Hocus Pocus, and he's living up to the name with his big heart and bold nature. He's doing very well with his litter box training -- he has consistently (and rather excitedly) used the litter box since the first day it was introduced to him. He's the biggest of his siblings and he sometimes uses that weight to be a little rougher than them in play (Jack is the closest with him in weight, so it's good when Jack is able to wrestle him down a bit), and he'll do harder bites than the others towards humans. Nothing that breaks the skin, but some that aren't gentle. So he'll need to either stay with Jack or be with another cat who is young enough to want to engage with him -- both for his level of energy and desire to play a lot and to tell him when he's being too rough. When we see him getting rough, we hold him gently but firmly until he calms down. I think it's pretty typical kitten, but want to make sure that he's set up for success with his behavioral development. Also very typical kitten in regard to high energy levels, will bite and scratch things (we're working on using a scratching post), will climb things, etc. Binx is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $125 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT PLACE SINGLE KITTENS. Kittens should be adopted in pairs unless a cat is already present in the home.
Adoption Process
We pull dogs from kill shelters and place them with fosters or trial adopters. All adoptions have 2 week trial. Adoption donation is made after trial period and certificate of ownership is issued. We also bring animals from owner surrenders into our organization so that they never enter the shelter system. We check references for all applicants and complete home checks. A great deal of our dogs are transported from CA to Seattle once we have found a foster or trial for them.
