Meet Howie Mandell
Howie is a 7 month old brown tabby. He is handsome and regal, and loves to find a perch where he can survey his kingdom and keep an eye on what is going on around him. Howie is a quiet, calm, reserved guy who likes to observe before he engages. He can certainly let loose and get playful- he cannot resist chasing after a tempting string or mouse toy. He will occasionally play chase with his sisters or wrestle and get rowdy.Howie needs a bit of time to get to know his people before he warms up and greets them with a purr. He is not a fan of being picked up, but really enjoys settling down next to you, and following his people around wherever they are. If things get too noisy or busy around him, he might need to find a calm, quiet place to take space until it calms down. Howie would thrive in a quieter home where he could relax and unwind at his own pace. Once Howie knows that you’re a safe person, though, he has the deepest loud purr and will greet you for gentle headbutts and pets.Howie has been fostered in homes with other adult cats, dogs of all sizes, and kids. He is respectful of other cats space and would be fine with friendly other cats in the home. While Howie has been fostered in a home with children and dogs, he would be happiest in a home without either. Howie is bonded to his sister Sofia and they must be adopted together. These two love to wrestle and play with each other and have a sweet connection. Both kittens have sensitive stomachs and do best eating a sensitive stomach dry food. All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with their initial age-appropriate vaccinations. Young bonded cats have an adoption fee of $262.50. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
