Humane Society of Warren County

HSWC is a 501c3 organization that holds a contract with Warren County to provide animal sheltering services. We are an open admission shelter and do not turn animals away due to medical or behavioral needs. We work diligently to save the lives of all the adoptable animals in our care. We also work with the community to help increase pet retention. We are a drop off location for transport to the local spay/neuter clinic.

Meet Farleigh

Hello there, I'm Farleigh, the most charming orange ball of fur you'll ever meet! I'm sweet, friendly, and gentle, but don't let that fool you, I'm quite the goofball. Let me tell you about how I ended up here. I was playing a game of 'tag' with a squirrel, and boy, I was winning! But, in my victorious excitement, I accidentally tagged a police officer's leg. Next thing I knew, I was in the back of a police car headed to this shelter. Talk about a wild ride! Despite my misadventures, I'm a lovable, playful, and funny guy. I promise to fill your life with laughter and joy. So, how about it, want to give this goofy feline a forever home? Interested in adopting? Fill out an application at www.humanesocietywarrencounty.org For more information email [email protected] Stop by the shelter today to visit with our adoptable dogs and cats! Adoption fees: Dogs $140 Cats $85 Humane Society of Warren County 1245 Progress Dr. Front Royal, VA 22630 540-635-4734 Open 10-4 Thursday-Tuesday. Closed Wednesday

Adoption Process
Interested adopters must fill out an adoption application. We verify that current pets are UTD on Rabies vaccinations and spayed or neutered. If the applicants rent we verify with the landlord that they are approved to adopt a pet. Adopters must fill out an adoption contract and sterilization agreement if the pet is not already altered. Pets that are not altered can only be adopted out to residents of Warren County or a surrounding jurisdiction. The adoption fee for cats is $15 and the fee for dogs is $30. The adoption fee does not include the cost of spay or neuter. If the animal is not altered adopters are required to have the pet altered within 30 days of adoption or by the time it reaches 6 months old.
