Almost Home Cat Rescue MKE

Founded in 2021, Almost Home Cat Rescue MKE is unlike most rescues in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area. We are a cage-free/free roam facility that allows visitors to interact with our adoptable kitties prior to adopting. Our mission is to create a safe haven for all cats in our care until their forever home is found; as well as to be a resource to the community, for its cats, and the people who love them.

Meet Hal

Are you looking for a super chill kitty that just adores his people? Then sweet Hal could be your new best friend! This cutie pie was found outside in the cold Wisconsin winter, alone and looking for help. We took him in and gave him warmth, love, and care. When we got him into the vet, we discovered that he was FeLV+ and he has a mid-grade heart murmur. He takes his daily heart health medication with his fish oil like a real champ, mixed into a tasty Churu! He also has been trained to do blood pressure readings which should be done every three months. He has been carrier trained and walks right into his carrier for a treat, and he has also been noise trained so vacuums, blenders, and other noisy machines do not bother him one bit! He is a very curious boy, and his tail twitches in the cutest way when he is excited or meets a new person! Hal has just discovered that stroller rides to the park are awesome for watching the birds and squirrels, and he looks forward to his outings! Hal is in foster care, waiting for your request to meet him! Please inquire at https://www.almosthomemke.com/adoption-application

Adoption Process
Background check, reference check, landlord check, adoption interview, meet and greet, send contract and pay fee, microchip transfer and medical records transfer - all adopters also received unlimited post adoption counseling
