Friend? That's her name? YES! Everyone likes to have a Friend in their lives, right? In her foster's neighborhood everything DID have a Friend in their lives! As this story starts, know that Friend is a genius. Friend started regularly visiting her foster December 2024. After asking around the neighborhood, Friend's story was put together! She had been seen around for several years. She had numerous neighbors she visited regularly for meals. This girl was well fed! One neighbor called her Mimi. Another neighbor called her Tuna. She would hang out in yards all day, cozy up in her various warm outdoor homes at night, sit on laps on nice fall nights. She had a front porch she lived under where the residents fed and cared for her but November 2024 they moved and the new residents boarded up her front porch so she was looking for new spots to rest her head so that's when she must have found her foster. Every day, 8AM her foster would put food out and call "Friend, Friend it's snack time" and she would come for what turned out to be second breakfast. We learned that she would have already conned someone else into first breakfast. She would pause for pets, cheek rubs, booty scratches. She needed a safe indoor home! December 31st - it happened! 6:15AM she was in the front window looking and has been inside since. Her foster was not sure how she would react but Friend has been a complete angel. Perfect for her medications and shots. Relaxing on a lovely red blanket - safe and warm! Friend is super quirky and amazing with her standing biscuit making. You can give her nasty tasting medication and she'll be purring a second later. She loves humans! We are not sure how she will be with other cats at this time so are recommending her to be solo, although for an experienced adopter they could probably include her with another cat with a slow, patient introduction. She has been exposed to dogs outside and does hiss and growl at them at first, but then calms down. She just needs patience! Could you be Friend's forever home? She deserves it! Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!
Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.
In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:Â
https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic
Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Â Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.
Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.
Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to accept cash, check, paypal, or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
