After a thorough check-up, it was discovered that Dash has Chronic Rhinitis, an inflammation of the nasal mucous membranes. Although there's no cure for his condition, it can be managed with regular care. Dash also has a history of urinary crystals, so he’s on a special prescription diet to keep him healthy and happy. Despite his health challenges, Dash is a delightful and affectionate cat who loves being around his people. He might not be the most playful with toys, but he absolutely adores wand toys, being brushed, and getting all the cuddles you can offer. Dash purrs almost non-stop and makes the cutest chirping sounds when he's excited or seeking attention. He enjoys crunchy treats and Tiki-type snacks, and he’s happiest when he’s nestled in a warm lap or being held close for some quality snuggle time. Dash would thrive in a home with older children who can handle him gently, as he's a large cat that appreciates proper handling. He might get along with other cats if introduced slowly and carefully, although he’s not yet sure about dogs. Dash is on prescription urinary food and a regimen of medications to manage his chronic rhinitis, and his caretakers will go over these details with potential adopters.
