Meet Orla

Meet Orla! The stunning, long-haired beauty with a gorgeous personality to match. Orla has overcome so much in the last year, and is so deserving of a forever home with her sister, Aisling! Orla and Ainsling are a bonded pair of sisters who ended up at Chicago Animal Care and Control after their owner was evicted. The CACC shelter is a loud and stressful environment, especially for more delicate, senior kitties like Orla and Ainsling. Thankfully, they were pulled out of the shelter by FFF and placed in foster care. Even once they made it to a foster home, both Orla and Aisling were still very fearful and unsure. With some time and patience, these darling girls started to warm up and show their true, affectionate personalities. Unfortunately, not long after they entered foster care, Orla became very sick and stopped eating. She lost nearly half of her bodyweight, and had to undergo many treatments, including a feeding tube that was necessary for her to receive essential nutrition and gain her weight back. Shortly after Orla recovered and started eating on her own again, she tested positive for ringworm! It’s been a long, tough, journey, but thankfully Orla has now fully recovered, as you can see by her lush coat and robust appetite.Orla is bonded with her sister Aisling, so they are looking for a home together. These adorable and friendly sisters get along with other cats, and would probably do well with patient and gentle children. These two have not yet met any dogs, but they would likely be able to adjust to a canine friend as long as they are given a patient and gradual introduction.Despite being an adorable little old lady, Orla will still get the zoomies and loves to play! She particularly likes catnip mice! Some of Orla's favorite things include fluffy beds, watching the neighborhood from the window sill, and accompanying her humans to the bathroom. Don’t even think about trying to go alone, Orla’s not having it! She also enjoys being brushed, which is an important part of keeping her long coat healthy, shiny, and free of matts! Orla loves to sit near her people and will use her sweet, chirpy meow to request pets and attention. She can be hesitant when meeting new people, but once you earn her trust, you'll have a lifelong friend! If you are interested in adding these two sweet sisters to your family, complete an application at the link below!WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER.Apply at online application (catsfff.org/adopt)View all of our adoptable cats here (catsfff.org/cats)Our adoption fees are listed here (catsfff.org/adoption-fees)

Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:  https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to accept cash, check, paypal, or most major credit cards for the adoption fee. Adoption Fees: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v6z1287oepz9kah/FPALR%20Cat%20Adoption%20Fees.pdf?dl=0 We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
