Gertie is a quirky, playful, and curious little guy with a heart full of gold. While he might initially seem shy, he will quickly warm up and be incredibly affectionate once he feels comfortable. With his affectionate nature and his charming quirks, Gertie is sure to nudge his way into your heart forever. Gertie loves chasing crinkle toys, wand toys, toy mice or faux raccoon tails! He can spend hours batting them around — he truly cherishes his playtime! Gertie is a good fit for an active home with gentle and respectful children. Gertie would thrive in a home with an energetic cat buddy who can keep up with his playful spirit. He’s done well with his adult foster feline siblings, and his future family will include a feline companion or he will need to be adopted with another cat from FFF – possibly his siblings, Kirby or Herbie.Young Gertie has grown into a confident and happy little dude and he ceaselessly entertains his foster family with his quirky, clumsy antics. He is looking for his forever home where he can fill the rooms with his loud, happy purrs and bring joy to his forever humans. Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:  https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to accept cash, check, paypal, or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
