Meet Coconut
Meet Coconut! The chillest, gentle giant-to-be around! Coconut is a fluffy and adorable blind Siamese mix who is all about peace and love. He is the kind of cat who’s content to simply be near you, and he'll happily curl up by your side for snuggles. He also loves to play and hang out with his feline friends! A gentle soul, Coconut purrs happily when you pet him and he adjusts easily to new situations once he feels comfortable somewhere. He’s an explorer at heart, especially when it comes to chasing noisy, crinkly toys, which he absolutely loves!Coconut was born with underdeveloped eyes that needed to be surgically removed. He is blind and partially deaf, but he’s adapted remarkably well to his world! He navigates around his foster home confidently, including getting up and down the stairs, but he will still need some extra supervision in his new forever home until he learns his way around. His future forever family should be aware that they may need to make adjustments to their home to ensure Coconut can’t accidentally wander into anything dangerous. Coconut was also born with a slight heart murmur, which is not an issue at the moment but should be monitored as he gets older. This poor little guy has had a rough start to life, but he’s a survivor!Due to his wariness toward loud or sudden noises, Coconut would do best in a quiet home, and he would thrive in a home with adults who work from home or are home a lot to give him all the love he craves. Coconut is a very loving and gentle young guy who would do well with older children who can match his calm energy and understand how to be gentle toward him. Coconut is friendly with both adult cats and other kittens, and he would do well in a home with other feline companions. Since he is still young, he will need to be adopted into a home with another kitty friend. He would especially love to be adopted with on of his foster sibling Merry. He loves to cuddle, wrestle, and play with him!Coconut has overcome so much to get where he is now! He is a tough little guy! He has found his own way to get around and he does a great job maneuvering despite his handicaps. In fact, he’s such a pro he can now climb down from the couch like a little Winnie the Pooh, which is absolutely adorable. Speaking of little bears, for being a young guy who still has a bit of growing to do, he is already quite large! Coconut is the kind of cat who loves to be close, but doesn’t need to be right on top of you all the time. He’s completely contented to relax on the other side of the room in a cozy bed or lay near you while you work or watch tv. Often, he will completely melt your heart when he lays next to you with his paw resting on your arm or foot — he just wants to stay connected, even if from a distance!Coconut deserves a loving forever home filled with people who will look out for him, keep him safe, and shower him in all the love and attention he so deserves! Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!
Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.
In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:Â
https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic
Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Â Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.
Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.
Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to accept cash, check, paypal, or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
