It might be getting cold outside, but don't fret, your new cuddle buddy Jay is just waiting for you to take him home! Action flick or rom com, Jay is ready to join you on the couch and will be purring til the credits roll. Jay was originally saved from euthanasia at Chicago Animal Care and Control and we are so happy to have him safely in foster care now! Jay is a confident and easy going personality, often happy to entertain himself by watching birds out the window or basking in the sunshine. He really just enjoys spending time with people and is such an easygoing dude.  He sometimes likes to partake in playtime with toys, with his favorites being wand toys or little mice. He is also a happy camper to snooze on the couch. You'll quickly win Jay's heart with a few treats, he absolutely LOVES them!Jay is in a foster home with other cats and would likely be fine in a multi-cat household with friendly feline pals, or he is also happy to be the only cat in a home if you're looking for just one. He hasn't spent time with dogs in foster care, but may do ok with a cat-friendly dog given appropriate introductions. He would do just fine with older kids and could thrive in a variety of household settings. Jay cannot wait to make himself at home with his forever family. We know his sweet, loving, and gentle personality will be a perfect addition! Adoption Process
Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines, a division of Fortunate Pooches and Lab Rescue.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion! Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family. In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:  https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11683/generic Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten. Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $3 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies. Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to accept cash, check, paypal, or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
