Community Cat Inc

We are a small group of people dedicated to ending feline overpopulation in our area. We do this through trap-neuter-return and low cost spay/neuter services through a variety of clinics. We also work to keep feral cats from being killed in shelters buy offering TNR and our farm cat program. We offer help to owners of cats for behavioral issues to try and keep these animals in their home.

Meet Gazoo

This handsome, gangly stringbean is Gazoo! He loves everyone and everyone loves him right back. Gazoo could even charm people who “aren’t cat people” (whatever that means). He’s a very strategic player and will often carry his toys to boxes where he can bap them around without losing them. His absolute favorite is the spring toy and he will drop whatever he’s doing when he hears it *boing*. Gazoo is always happy to act as your sous chef and will do his best to watch over dinner preparation. Maybe even taste test some of your recipes if you turn your back for too long. Gazoo can sense an empty lap from a mile away and will rub himself on your hands if you fail to pet him immediately. Sometimes he’ll hitch a ride on your shoulders for maximum contact. When cuddles are concerned, the limit does not exist! Gazoo has struggled with diarrhea for most of his life, despite many interventions. He seems to be improving slightly with only hard food and probiotics, but may just have chronic loose stools from his kitty IBD. Don’t worry, he always uses the litterbox and he’s otherwise totally normal! Gazoo has been around cats, dogs, and kids and gotten along fabulously with everyone. He would love to be your cat’s new best friend!   Approximate DOB: April 2022 Foster Home Location: Madison  If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: https://www.commcat.org/copy-of-adopt-a-bff   Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home.   Our adoption fees:  Kittens (under 6 months):  $150 (or 2 for $225 ) A dults (6 months to 7 years): $75 (or 2 for $100 ) Seniors (8  years and up): $40 (or 2 for $60 )   All cats are spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies (if age appropriate) and distemper, and microchipped.

Adoption Process
Adoption application can be filled out online or on paper; we check vet and landlord references; adoption coordinator talks with potential adopter; meet cats at the foster home or adoption event; contract requires no declaw and animal must be returned if adoption does not work out; regular fees are $50adult ad $85 kitten but we run specials all the time.
